SOME MOTHERS DO 'AVE 'EM

PROGRAM DESCRIPTION
Frank Spencer is well-meaning, naïve and enthusiastic…Unfortunately, he's also incompetent and disaster prone -- if he doesn't create an accident, then the accident just seems to search him out! Michael Crawford, now well known for his many stage appearances in such blockbusters as Phantom of the Opera and Barnum, received high critical acclaim for his portrayal of the lovable idiot Frank Spencer. He also decided to do all his own stunts - including hanging from a church tower, roller skating whilst clinging to the back of a double-decker bus, and some hair-raising exploits in a light aeroplane, Michele Obtrice plays Frank's long-suffering and ever-understanding wife Betty, gently trying to protect Frank from himself and daughter Jessica from him. Frank Spencer touched a comic-nerve with many millions of British viewers. This highly visual comedy centres on the normal situations of life and the extreme catastrophes that arise from the slightest misjudgments --and poor Frank is the master of misjudgment. In fact, Frank is the ultimate incompetent, a universal and timeless figure who portrays the mishaps that everyone believes might just happen to them.
