PROGRAM DESCRIPTION
Statistically, the Porters may just be an ordinary family, but there's nothing average about this endearingly demented portrait of modern family life!

Ben Porter, patriarch of the clan, is a dedicated central-heating engineer and easy-going husband/father whose idea of helping around the house is to change TV channels...provided the remote control is within easy reach. Bill (that's not a typo) is the mother and full time working wife. She runs her own catering business with neighbor Rona, a free spirit who has had more men than Enron has had bad accountants. Daughter Jenny is a typical teenager whose current tastes run to boyfriends, pop music and vegetarianism. Youngest family member is David, a chip off the old block with a stack of stale sandwiches always tucked away under his bed. As Bill and Ben struggle with the demands of modern life, their offspring rush headlong through adolescence, increasingly embarrassed by their parents' chaotic lifestyle.

Producer/Director Richard Boden's previous credits include Blackadder Goes Forth and 'Allo, 'Allo!.
